More on the War Cnidarians.

Here's a couple of close-ups of the Khurasan War Cnidarians in primer.

(Oops, I somehow omitted this first one when I posted this originally!)

They have so much relief that my phone's camera had trouble focusing on the whole figure even on macro. They have what appears to be armored headpieces with a lobster-tail piece that runs down the back of the, err, torso to the backpack. There are four different upper bodies and four lower which come seperate allowing for a variety of poses. The impressive jump packs come seperate as well. These guys are big and beefy in the upper body making them somewhat top-heavy. The jump packs are well designed, attach easily, and really look like something that could propel the wearer through the air. Their weapons, which have a Germy-tech look, appear to be three of the same short double barrelled deals and one heavier type both of which can easily pass for energy or projectile weapons. Here's a couple comparison shots:

GZG Crusty, War Cnidarian, KM Space Demon

KM Felid Baron, Rebel Modern SAW gunner, War Cnidarian,  GZG Armed colonist

I usually put human sized figures on #10 washers but the W.C. is actually on a 3/4" washer.  Seeing him next to the modern army trooper, now I'm thinking Invasion Earth/Battle L.A., etc. I think slightly subdued blues and purples would make a good color scheme with metallic accessories and probably grey armor.

Jumping jellyfish!

Welcome to my new blog which (theoretically) to chronicle the thrilling adventures that are my 6mm/10mm/15mm tabletop wargaming projects.  What finally inspired me to start blogging were these guys:

These are the new (possibly unreleased) War Cnidarians from Khurasan Miniatures. I recently placed an order from Khurasan which originally included Jon's wonderfully alien Cnidarian Overlords. Since they were OOS, he offered to send instead these sinister SOBs.

Jon had described them as 'more menacing' and that they are. Big, armoured and jump pack equipped space jellyfish; it's like Christmas came early. I'll try to get some comparison shots and close-ups of these now primed bad boys in my next post.
